Our test rig included a pine 2×4 sandwiched between a piece of 10-gauge (1/8+”) steel and a concrete block. We tried each of the Bosch multi-purpose drill bits, drilling first through the steel, then the 2×4, and finally the concrete block. These Bosch multi-purpose bits will drill through masonry, steel, concrete, tile, and wood. Not only are they multi-purpose, but they’ll work in your drill, hammer-drill, and even an impact driver.

For the testing, we used a Bosch drill/hammer-drill for the three smaller bits, then we changed to a DeWalt DCF887 impact driver for the larger two bits.
