What’s The Big Deal?

The brand has made an extra effort to drive home the point that this Ridgid 15-Gallon Air Compressor includes Strong Start Technology, which allegedly provides “reliable starting in any power condition.” Admittedly, that sounds amazing…but we’re not entirely sure what it means. However, we found any elaborative details on that statement to be scarce. We know that it has a 14.5 amp motor, and that it will have to run off of a 20 amp circuit to cover start-up surge. Beyond that, however, we’re still uncertain for now.

What Else Is There To Love?

Aside from having an easy time starting up the Ridgid 15-Gallon Air Compressor, we found that there’s a lot more to love here. Let’s start with its mobility. Ridgid outfits this compressor with two 8″ flat-free wheels for easier maneuverability over uneven and rough terrain. It also includes an ergonomically designed handle to make moving this 94 lb compressor a more comfortable experience. Plus, for convenience’s sake, this Ridgid compressor includes an accessory basket to keep your incidentals in.

Secondly, the Ridgid 15-Gallon Air Compressor focuses on function and ease of use. This model includes 2″ pressure gauges to improve the visibility of your regulated and tank pressure. It has a locking regulator to prevent inadvertent pressure changes. The ball valve at the bottom of the tank only requires one turn to open, which ought to simplify the tank draining process. It has an oil-free design, which we consider a big plus.
