Sizes are marked on one side with gold laser etching and the other side the size is engraved. You can purchase these from the Home Depot for less than $30.

( votes)As we cram more and more features into vehicles, the spaces become tighter and tighter. Lug nuts and spark plugs are prime examples. Thin wall impact sockets used to be a specialty purchase, either from a tool truck or online. The 10-piece Husky Thin Wall Impact Socket set is now available in the Home Depot stores for just $29.97.

Husky Thin Wall Impact Sockets Features
You can get the thin wall impact sockets in a metric or SAE set, each with 10 pieces. The set includes 9 sockets and the 1/4″ x 3/8″ square adapter. Our metric set included socket sized 8mm to 18mm, but Husky skipped sizes 11mm and 14mm. These are the SAE 7/16″ and 9/16″ equivalents. We definitely wish they wouldn’t skip sizes.

Made from Cr-MO steel, the Husky thin wall impact sockets should hold up very well. Furthermore, these sockets are finished in a black phosphorous which should add protection for years to come. Sizes on each socket are laser-etched in gold on one side, and the other side has the size engraved in the socket.
Final Thoughts
With the price of these Husky thin wall impact sockets less than $30, the Cr-MO steel, and the lifetime warranty, this is not difficult toolset to recommend. We would definitely like to see the skipped sizes included in the set, and we would like to see these in larger sizes as well.
