Milwaukee Tool M12 FUEL Extended Reach Ratchets Preview
With the Milwaukee Tool extended reach ratchets, you’ll be able to reach deeper in tighter spaces. Milwaukee Tool is releasing the new M12 FUEL extended reach ratchets in September 2019. The ratchets are available in 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive. This leaves out the 1/2″ drive, for now. We got our hands on these first at the Milwaukee Tool NPS19 show back in May, then again at the ISN show in July. We’re excited to see these and we believe they’ll be welcomed with open arms.

The standard M12 FUEL ratchets are used in our STR shop just about every day. At first, I thought the cordless ratchet would be a specialty tool that we reached for every now and then. This is one of those tools that once you have it, you realize more and more how valuable they are. With the M12 extended reach ratchets, it broadens the playing field even further.
Just the other day, I was removing and reinstalling an LS3 6.2L intake manifold, and reaching the rear intake manifold bolts are a pain. The M12 FUEL ratchets allowed me to remove the bolts by just pushing the trigger (paddle). Otherwise, it would require the back and forth ratchet motion in an already tight space. I was standing on my toes and barely reaching the bolts, but the extended reach will provide that extra length needed.

I think anyone that wants one of these will probably want both Milwaukee Tool M12 FUEL extended reach ratchets. Shelling out $339 and $329 ($668 total) is not chump change, but it is a specialty and useful tool. My thoughts are that it’s worth it, but just save your money and buy one at a time. We definitely look forward to getting the Milwaukee M12 extended reach ratchets in the STR shop for a full review. We’ve definitely given our current M12 ratchets plenty of abuse.
