Craftsman V20 Impact Driver Highlights

Like most Pros, we like to see tools made in the USA. We’re seeing more American brands make efforts to bring jobs back home, which is nice. Craftsman manufactures their tools from their facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina using materials from around the globe.

The Craftsman V20 Impact Driver features a brushless motor for better performance and durability. Capable of cranking out 2900 RPM, 3800 IPM, and 1700 in-lbs of torque, this impact driver can tackle pretty much anything a Pro uses one for.

Pricing

Craftsman V20 Impact DriverCraftsman is selling their V20 impact driver as either a bare tool for $99 or kitted with two 2.0 Ah batteries and charger for $149. It also comes with Craftsman’s 3-year limited warranty.

These prices are a little bit higher than models with similar specifications from other brands, and that’s our only real sticking point with Craftsman. It’s sitting in between the lower price of Ryobi and the higher pricing of DeWalt.

Final Thoughts

You won’t find the refined fit, finish, and premium features of a high-end impact driver, but Craftsman does check off all the basic boxes and has the performance to get the job done.

As the team continues to increase the number of tools on their cordless system, more Pros will be interested if they can match Ryobi’s pricing.
