Bolt Removal ModeImpact power for both impacts are the same. From the brushless motor, to the controls, anvils, and even the batteries are the same. Fastening torque for both is 1,000 ft-lbs while nut-busting (loosening) torque is 1,400 ft-lbs. The only real difference is the OneKey electronics on the 2863. Speed, power, and even torque can be controlled and limited by the Milwaukee OneKey app.

Using OneKey, you can set the max speed, bolt removal speed, and limit torque. You can even choose Lug Nut Control, hence the 2863 will limit the torque to 80-130 ft-lbs or 130-180 ft-lbs. Depending on which lug nut control setting you choose.

The 2767 only has 4 power modes that are basically 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. You can also choose Bolt Removal mode, so the tool sense when the fastener is loose and it slows down.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for just sheer power, then the Milwaukee 2767 M18 FUEL Impact Wrench is a great choice. This actually won our impact wrench shootout two years ago, however, only one other impact has come close to surpassing the power.
