RYOBI PCL630 and PCL631 Hybrid LED Lights
You can never have too many shop lights, especially when they’re cordless. Even better, the RYOBI PCL630 and PCL631 Hybrid LED Lights can be powered by the 18V One+ batteries or by a 120V extension cord. These were not available quite yet at the time of our filming, but RYOBI expects these to hit the Home Depot shelves sometime during October 2021.
RYOBI PCL630 Features
This PCL630 hybrid led light delivers up to 1800 lumens on “High”. A single power button cycles through High, Medium, Low, and “Off” modes. The LED light housing rotates 360 degrees within the base allowing the user to aim the light wherever needed. You can power the light with the 18V One+ batteries or just plug in a standard 120V extension cord. Up to 12 hours of runtime on a single 4Ah 18V battery when the light is on Low.
RYOBI PCL631 Features
While the PCL630 was a single lens floodlight, the RYOBI PCL631 has 3 different panels of LED lights. The two outside panels swivel in order to deliver light to several different areas at the same time. On High, the PCL631 produces up to 3,000 lumens. The single power button switches from “Off” to High, Medium, and Low. This light also accepts either 18V RYOBI batteries or a 120V extension cord.
Our Thoughts
Adding more cordless shop lights to your arsenal is never a bad thing, but the cost does matter. The RYOBI PCL630 and PCL631 will be $59 and $79 respectively, as a bare tool (no batteries or chargers). While this is more than a cheap drop-light, you won’t have to worry about changing bulbs all the time. Also, you get the convenience of a cordless light. Both lights include a 3-year warranty, and you’ll be able to find these in Home Depot and HomeDepot.com in October 2021.
