Oversized MPX hinges not only offer greater stability and strength, but they also offer quick adjustment. Just push the large black circular pads from the outside-in, then position the ladder to your desired configuration – extended, closed, or step. Adjusting the height is just as simple with the 1/4-turn speed locks. Turn the locks 1/4-turn and they stay in the unlocked position. Once the desired height is reached, just partially-rotate the speed lock and it pops into place. You can also just turn the speed locks partially to unlock and let them go, once the next hole/rung is reached, the pins will automatically lock into place.

Our Thoughts

This Gorilla Ladders MPX17 aluminum ladder is very easy to use, and it’s very easy to transport with one person. As an 18-foot 1-AA duty rating, this ladder is rated for 375 lbs, and the price of $169 is a good value. The MPX17 felt very stable when treading and standing, even in all positions. This new aluminum Gorilla Ladders ladder will be replacing our old fiberglass unit in our shop. You should check it out if you’re in need.
