“The temporary jobsite lighting industry is plagued with commoditized products that lack durability, require many labor hours to maintain, and consume significant amounts of power. By leveraging our leadership in LED technology and understanding the frustrations of use in the field, we’re able to provide an AC-powered solution that delivers on the durability, performance, and ease of use that other similar lights have failed to achieve.”

Milwaukee Radius 70W LED Temporary Site Light Highlights
One of the big selling points of this light centers on its ease of set up. It comes with a 3ft 120V power cord, however, if multiple lights on the same circuit, the Radius can be wired in series. It features an integrated wiring terminal, and it accepts voltages between 120 and 277V. The Milwaukee Radius accepts MC, ROMEX, or SO cable through universal strain reliefs. The new light also features spring-loaded cable retention in case the height of the light and cable needs to be adjusted during the simple installation process.
The Radius features Milwaukee’s TrueView technology, which delivers a consistent beam, optimized color temperature, and a true representation of color. It provides up to 7,700 lumens of LED light, which outperforms 105W fluorescents while offering 30% less power consumption. Once the Radius is set up, the light requires no maintenance. In addition, Milwaukee engineered the Radius using a durable polycarbonate lens design and high impact construction, ensuring that
Once the Radius is set up, the light requires no maintenance. In addition, Milwaukee engineered the Radius using a durable polycarbonate lens design and high impact construction, ensuring that the light can survive the toughest job sites. The Milwaukee Radius comes with limited lifetime LED warranty, as well as a 5-Year warranty on the product.
Final Thoughts
Milwaukee has been pumping out the lighting solutions for the past few years, and they’ve all been pretty solid offerings so far. To be fair, Milwaukee has focused a lot of their lighting solutions on the cordless market, which is why this release seems particularly interesting. A temporary LED light that draws AC power and can be wired up in series with other lights? Yes, please! Plus, they look super simple to wire up and install.
As of writing this, however, I haven’t seen a price on the Milwaukee Radius yet. The Milwaukee cordless lights, while quality products, tend to run a little on the pricey side of things, and I do wonder what these will cost. Of course, all cordless tech tends to cost more, and since you won’t be paying for batteries with these lights, maybe you won’t have to break the bank to pick up a set of these. We’re crossing our fingers, at least.
