There is something about using simple yet effective hand tools. Such is the case with the Limited Edition Monster Long Combo wrench set (model #: MST9211). Don’t get me wrong, we love to get our hands on power tools around here and test the strongest and most torqueiest of tools. However, after a while, the power tools get old, and it becomes very satisfying to get some work done using nothing more than a slim, polished chrome combination wrench.

I don’t like ridges on the handle of my wrenches, nor any type of raised lettering or logos either. Final Thoughts

The Monster wrenches performed well in our tests around the shop. We used these during a brake job as well as various other jobs and fastener needs around the shop. We haven’t noticed any type of failure to loosen any fasteners. They seem to clean up very easy and the polished body fits well in my hand. The labels are easy to read, so you can easily grab the right wrench. We would like to see a boxed end that fits more specialty fasteners like spline and star, and it would be nice to have some sort of additional grip aide on the spanner end as well. However, at the end of the day, these fit the majority of our 6-point fasteners that still adorn our vehicles today and yesterday.
