This FLEX 18ga Brad Nailer is the first trim nail gun that the brand has released. We’re excited to see FLEX expanding its line of 24-volt power tools. A brushless motor delivers the power while providing efficiency for hundreds of shots per battery charge. The question is: can FLEX deliver the goods to get into the finish carpenters’ hands? We think so!

FLEX 18ga Brad Nailer Features

Three LED lights are situated on either side and just forward of the tip. These LED lights provide surrounding light, mitigating the chance of darkness in your immediate work area. Depth adjustment is simple and easy with the small lever that includes 5 or 6 detent locations. Quickly adjust the depth and the FLEX FX4331 responds in sync.

Just below the trigger are two rubber-coated buttons. The power button activates the 24v power to the brad nailer once you hold it for 2 seconds. On the right, this button toggles between sequential fire and bump fire. Any nail jams can be quickly cleared without the need for tools. Just lift the clip at the front of the tool, and you have complete access to remove any bent and stuck brad nails.

In Conclusion

From plywood and pine to oak and purple-heart hardwood, this FLEX 18ga nailer delivered the goods. As fast as we wanted to pull the trigger, the FX4331 drove the nails with very few mistakes. There were a few hiccups when trying to rapid-fire while using the bump-fire mode. Once we focused on the work and slowed down a touch, we had no issues.  Look for this FLEX FX4331 18ga brad nailer to hit the shelves in January 2024.
