This Myers Air Impact Wrench is powered by compressed air and is recommended for 90psi at the tool. You get a variable speed trigger and you get a MAX setting regulator that’s numbered from 0 to 5. This numbering is not really absolute but more of a general understanding that power goes up a certain way.
The overall weight of this Myers air impact wrench is a little over six pounds. This is heavier than your typical cordless mid-torque impact wrenches but lighter than most High Torque impact wrenches. An extended anvil provides longer reach and more convenience for tire techs.
Myers Pneumatic Impact Wrench TESTED
We put this Myers MTS53371 impact wrench on our test rig to see how well it would perform. While it’s rated at around 700 ft-lbs of loosening torque, could it actually deliver this much or more? Using our HYTORC Lion Torque Setter we quickly torqued the fasteners to 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 ft-lbs. The Myers impact flew through this without a stumble. Back with the HYTORC, we set the next round to 800, 900, and 1,000 ft-lbs. This time, the Myers MTS53371 slew the 800 and 900, but it couldn’t quite budge the 1,000 ft-lbs in the given 10-seconds.
Myers Tire Supply sells its product on its website, through its distribution channel, and through Amazon. You can pick up this impact wrench for well less than $200.
