Industry Update: Lowe’s Now Sells Craftsman Tools

Lowe's now sells Craftsman Tools

For those of you who hadn’t heard the news yet, apparently, Lowe’s now sells Craftsmen Tools. The home improvement chain store has, at the present, six mechanic’s tools and sixteen storage and garage products available for purchase. We expect more Craftsman tools to become available in the future.

Lowe’s Now Sells Craftsman Tools

We wondered what the future would hold when Stanley Black & Decker bought out the Craftsman brand in 2017. Well, it looks like the brand has hit the Lowe’s shelves. Of course, this is a big move away from the exclusive Sears and K-Mart outlets, which have seemed to disappear from the public consciousness over the last couple decades.

As of right now, the Craftsman offerings are fairly limited, but we expect the brand to offer power tools, hand tools, accessories, and OPE in the future.

We also had some questions surrounding old Craftsman warranties. For those of you who have some of those old Craftman tools, Lowe’s says that they will continue to honor the warranties. However, as you probably already expect, they will only replace those tools that are sold in their stores. We look forward to seeing Lowe’s carry more and more Craftsman tools in the future.
