Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 18, 2026

What This Means

ShopToolReviews participates in affiliate advertising programs, including the Amazon Associates Program and programs offered by other tool retailers and manufacturers. When you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.

How Commissions Work

Affiliate commissions are a standard part of how editorial review sites operate. Rather than charging readers for content or accepting payment to write favorable reviews, we earn a small referral fee when readers find our recommendations useful and choose to buy.

Our Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence which tools we review or what scores we assign. We do not accept payment from manufacturers to review their products, and we do not alter our ratings or editorial conclusions based on commercial relationships. When we buy tools, we purchase them ourselves. When manufacturers provide samples, we retain full editorial control — samples we cannot test honestly are returned or declined.

Our income depends on reader trust. If you cannot trust what we write, our business does not work. That alignment of incentives is by design.

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose material connections between ShopToolReviews and the products or retailers we link to. Affiliate links are our material connection. This disclosure page, combined with in-article disclosures, satisfies that requirement.
